The Large Animal Hospital at the University of Florida is open for emergency patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call (352) 392-2229 if you have an emergency. A patient can be referred by the primary care veterinarian or the owner can call the hospital directly.
The Veterinary Emergency Service at UF The veterinary emergency service is available to see any small animal emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. We welcome both referral and walk-in veterinary emergencies of any kind. No appointment is needed for your pet to visit the emergency service – you can show up any time.
UF Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service (UF VETS) The UF Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service (UF VETS) team was founded following several ad hoc missions assigned to the veterinary college during the 2004 hurricane season. UF VETS is composed of volunteer veterinarians, staff, and veterinary students who provide disaster response, animal technical rescue, and animal technical.
